We love Dublin. At City Language School English School Dublin we \’recommend culture\’ and we let our students know what’s going on in the great city (aka town). This week we have a look at three events that are happening near Dublin City Centre and further afield over the next few days.
Jobs Expo, Croke Park, Dublin 3 – FREE – Saturday 10am – 4pm
Jobs Expo features hundreds of employers looking for employees. There are job opportunities at home and abroad. The organisers boast that this is the only careers exhibition of its type to feature FREE ADMISSION. As well as jobs, there will be seminars, C.V. clinics and advice on starting your own business. For new students looking for a job in Dublin, this is well worth visiting.

Carcanet at 50: Poetry – Poetry Ireland, Parnell Square East, Rotunda, Dublin, Ireland – FREE Saturday 25th October – 1 – 7pm
This won\’t be everyone\’s cup of tea but we think it is something different. Ireland has some of the most celebrated poets in the English-speaking world. For the last fifty years Carcanet has published many of them and next Friday they celebrate with readings and workshops. If you interested in poetry in any language this event might be very worth while.

Spacer Fridays, Lost Lane, 1-2 Adam Court, Grafton Street, Dublin 2 – FREE
Friday nights at Lost Lane is an eclectic new Friday night party for spacers and starchasers. Well respected music guru DJ Nialler9 & friends play electronic, disco & 80s music of a euphoric nature. By all accounts it\’s a great night. The poster looks pretty funky.
