Audrey from France says \”the school is very cool\”

22-year-old Audrey Rohou came to Dublin earlier this year and has been studying with us at City Language School for a few months now. We were delighted to get the chance to chat to her before she finished her course with us.

Why did you decide to come to Dublin?

I decided to come to Ireland because the United States is too far away for me at the moment and London is complicated with Brexit. I also found an au pair family here.

Who were your teachers at City Language School?

My first teacher was Chantelle, a good teacher for five weeks on lockdown. And now I have Maria. It\’s very interesting and learning with her is different.

Was there a good mix of nationalities in your class?

In my first class, there were Brazilian, Turkish, Italian and Spanish people.

\”I like having one test per week because you can see your level if you are progressing or not.\”

Why did you enjoy your time at City Language School and how was it different?

I like it because the lessons are really engaging and interesting. We play games online sometimes which is really great and sometimes we play to find words in songs. I also like having one test per week because you can see your level and if you are progressing or not.

Was the location of the school good and was it close to where you live?

For me, I live in Naas and I can\’t go to Dublin every day or during the day because I have to drop off and collect my host children in the morning at 8.45am and at lunchtime 1pm so I can\’t go to the school . But the school is very cool because the principal [Director of Studies] helped me to have online lessons.

The backroom team is very nice to me and very complete, very nice and professional people.
