Three This Thursday – Enjoy Dublin while Studying English at City Language School

After a week of studying English at City Language School, we like to encourage our students to get out into the city itself and see what it has to offer. There is always something to do in this small but lively city and that’s why we love it so much. At City Language School English School Dublin, we let our students know what’s going on in the great city (aka town) and this week we have a look at three events that are happening near Dublin City Centre and further afield.

Pastimes in Past Times

17, 24 August, 2:30pm – 4pm  National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, Glasnevin

City Language School Recommends the Botanical Gardens Dublin

If you have a long beard and are into making green tea then this tour might just be for you. Back in the day when people had no mobile phones, computers, gameboys or even skateboards what did they do in their spare time? This fascinating look at plant-related hobbies and pastimes in times past, includes a look at mushroom collecting, jam making, wood for sports, musical instruments and exotic plant growing. Even if you don\’t hitch yourself to the tour the Botanical Gardens is a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon. The tour costs €5 but if you just want to visit the garden it is free.
