Stoker on Stoker – Online talk – Free
As most of you will already know, the author of Dracula, Bram Stoker was born and raised in Dublin. It took a while (for some bizarre reason) but in recent years we have begun celebrating his legacy with a festival. For obvious reasons, all of this year\’s festival is online but there are one or two interesting events still happening.
One of those involves the great grand-nephew of Bram Stoker giving an intimate insight into Dracula’s history within Stoker family lore. It examines Bram Stoker’s life in Dublin and London, separating fact from popular fiction, and revealing the truth about all things Stoker and Dracula.
You\’ll be able to join this and many other events from Friday onwards: https://www.rte.ie/culture/
Glasnevin Cemetery – FREE

This is actually one of the most beautiful and most visited places in Ireland. Many of Ireland\’s most historic icons are buried here and the Museum (closed due to COVID-19) is an award-winning interpretive centre.
Even though the museum is closed, the cemetery itself is well-worth a visit. If you\’ve had enough of dead people, then the Botanic Gardens are just next door.
