Pietro thinks Dublin Rocks

18-year-old Pietro Ianacce arrived in Dublin in early September with a group of friends from Italy. They spent three weeks with us at City Language School and we loved having them here. Just before they got on the plane to fly home to Puglia we sat down with Pietro and had a chat about his time in Dublin.

Did you like Dublin?

I liked the city. It’s comfortable because it’s easy to move from one place to another because the buses and also the DART and Luas were really good. I never had a problem with them. I like the centre the most because there were lots of shops but also the architecture of the buildings – how the centre was built.

Where did you stay?

I stayed with Adrianne O’Meara. She is a lovely person. She always makes us feel comfortable in her house. There were three of us together in Donnycarney Road. It took about twenty minutes to arrive to the centre on the 14 or 15 bus. So we were close to the centre.

Did you enjoy Oscars?

I think that the work placement experience that we had was enjoyable but also a learning process that taught us how to manage the job.

Also we were with John who is an amazing teacher that always helped us in everything we asked him. He was never afraid to help and was really charming made us feel comfortable like a friend.
