Maria Jose Tapia from Bolivia came to City Language School in 2020.
\”My experience with City Language School was really, really good,\” says the 29-year-old. \”I remember my first teacher. She really helped me with my English, helped me to improve my English and gave me all the options I needed.\”
Maria studied at three different levels with City Language School. When she acheived her C1 status, she decided to move away from General English and add a new strand to her learning bow.
\”My last course was Business English,\” she says, \”which was really nice. I have to say that the Business English teacher is amazing. You feel like you are deeply connected with many topics.\”
Maria was also impressed by the many other subjects and extra classes offered by City Language School.
\”When you are in the school, you realise that there are lots of other [shorter] classes that are amazing becasue they not only help you to improve but also to connect with people.\”
Teachers were central to Maria\’s English Language development but she was sure to talk about the backroom staff and how helpful they were during her time in Dublin.
\”The staff was always gentle and willing to help,\” she says. \”Roisin was always there and all the girls in the adminstration are there to help you. So you feel you are not alone.\”
