Every year City Language School in Dublin welcomes students from South Korea. We are always delighted to look after them and they add so much to the different cultures in our classrooms.
In recent years, there has been a surge in interest in Korean culture throughout Dublin, not least the country’s delicious food. There are now many Korean restaurants in Dublin that feature well-known dishes from this magical land. Here are some of the best.
This Capel Street eatery boasts some of the finest mandu (Korean dumplings) in the city.
The bulgogi dup-bap (marinated beef in a bowl of rice) is great for sharing and it can all be washed down with a fresh bottle of Kloud. Our Korean students tell us it’s as close to the real deal as you can get.
This hidden gem is located at the back of a fish market so you will have to go looking for it. When you get there you’ll find affordable meals with reasonable portions. Most dishes are under a ten euro and given that’s in a market, you can be sure the ingredients are fresh.
This is Dublin’s oldest of the Korean restaurants in Dublin and is the place to try kimchi in the city. Like all of the restaurants on our list, this spot on Parnell Street is not too far from the school. It is reasonably priced and has a great bar.
