Julie Šaňková from Prague spent one month with us at City Language School. We were delighted to sit down with her at the end of her time with us tio find out more about her feelings on Dublin, her host family and the school itself.
\”I attended lots of different classes,\” she says. \”And I\’ve had such a great experience. The teachers were absolutely amazing. The classes were so much fun. They were interactive. The teachers know what they were doing and what they were talking about and how to okeep students attached to what they were saying. Even me, as a person who gets easily bored, I was so into it.\”
Julie says that her English has definitely improved in just one month and says that not having her own language to fall back on has helped enormously.
\”Once you don\’t have the lifeline and you can\’t really count on your first language, you have to deal with it and speak English,\” she says. \”I gained a lot of confidence speaking English here.\”
