This week we have a look at three events that are happening near Dublin City Centre and further afield over the next few days.

Cellinstallation, Part of Spike Cello Festival, Hugh Lane Gallery, Sunday 1.15 – 5pm – FREE
This free performance is part of a weekend of cello concerts dotted around the city. Most events cost but this one is free and goes on all afternoon. It\’s cello as you\’ve never seen it before so you can expect some surprises. In total there are eight cellists scheduled to perform. It will be interesting and if it doesn\’t float your boat, it\’s a great excuse the nicest gallery in the city.
Jazz Jam Session, The International Bar, Wicklow Street, Dublin 2 4.45 – 7.45pm – FREE
This session takes place downstairs in the well-known International Bar. Just around the corner from our city centre campus, this venue is a hive of musical activity and this relaxed jazz session is a nice way to ease yourself out of the hedonistic indulgences from the night before. Guided Tour Chester Beatty Library, Dublin Castle – Free
The Chester Beatty library is a little oasis in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Dame Street and again is just two minutes from our city centre campus.
This colourful library offers free drop-in public tours take place every Wednesday at 1pm, Saturdays at 2pm and Sundays at 3pm.
These are suitable for individual visitors, families and small groups (under 5 participants). They are relaxed informal tours and provide a general introduction to Chester Beatty’s exhibitions.
Tours last for approximately one hour, are free of charge and delivered on a first-come, first-served basis. These tours are limited to 20 participants.
