This week we have a look at three events that are happening near Dublin City Centre and further afield over the next few days.

Good stuff in Dublin this weekend

The Grand Social – Liffey Street, Dublin 1 – FREE

If the regular Friday quiz at City Language School isn\’t enough for you then maybe this is worth a try. The quiz at The Grand Social  takes place every Thursday night.

Just a short skip across the Liffey from the school, this usually kicks off at 7.30pm and welcomes teams of four. You might even get more than pizza too. Prizes in the past have included tickets for Electric Picnic as well as for other gigs and festivals. Worth a shot and it\’s free so why not?

Fresh International Film Festival – Wed, 4 March – 10:00am – 1:30pm, Light House Cinema, Smithfield

This festival is for up and coming filmmakers in Ireland. This year Fresh International Film Festival celebrates its 24th yearThe Heats are an integral part of the festival. In March, Fresh is running 6 regional Heat screenings throughout Ireland to showcase the incredible display of talent young Irish filmmakers have to offer.

The Heats are a half-day of screenings and the audience vote for an audience award, but if someone isn’t there to represent your film, it will not be eligible for the audience award.

Paella Party & Soccer – D Two, 60 Harcourt Street – FREE (if you wear a Barcelona or Real Madrid jersey)

There is no better way of spending a Sunday than eating paella and watching El Classico. This Sunday, BArceloan meet Real Madrid is one of the most anticipated games of the football calendar.

Doors fort his event open early at 2pm and if you are lucky enough to have a Barceloan or Real Madrid top, you will get in for free.

There is lots of food on the menu and the craic will be mighty amigo!
