Three This Thursday – Music, Boats & Photos

After a week of English Classes, we like to encourage our students to get out into the city itself and see what it has to offer. There is always something to do in this small but lively city and that’s why we love it so much. At City Language School English School Dublin, we let our students know what’s going on in the great city (aka town) and this week we have a look at three events that are happening near Dublin City Centre and further afield.

Free Music  – Wood Quay Summer Sessions

City Language School recommends

Wood Quay Amphitheatre, Thursday 4th July – Thursday 25th July 2019

The Wood Quay Summer Sessions take place every Thursday afternoon in July.

Between 1pm and 2pm you can enjoy an hour of live music on your lunchtime.

It\’s a real mix of traditional music, RnB, classical, contemporary, jazz and hip-hop and if the sun is out this is a great place to watch it all happen.

Free Boats – Volvo Dún Laoghaire Regatta

Dun Laoghaire Harbour, Thursday 11th July – Sunday 14th July 2019

Dún Laoghaire will be the centre of great racing and lively socialising this weekend – any excuse for a few pints.

Five hundred boats from all over the UK and Ireland will be on the water over the course of the weekend and it promises to be pretty colourful. It\’s all free but bring a few quid for some tasty seafood and an ice-cream at Teddy\’s.

Photography – Museum of Contemporary Photography of Ireland

Dublin Castle, 4-28 July, for Photo Ireland Festival 2019

This is the tenth year of this growing festival and it gets stranger, and therefore better, every time.

We will let the pictures speak their thousand words.

Go you won\’t be disappointed.
