City Language School has recently received a special badge becoming an \”Animal Friendly Brand\” : )
How did we get there? Well, there is a special charity run organised in Warsaw- Poland. With running being highly popular at the moment, the organisers thought it would be a good idea to actually do something good while running those kilometers. \”Bieg Chomika\” translated into \”Hamster\’s Run\” is the first such initiative in Poland, the event is absolutely free to join and the only purpose of it is to collect goods for local animal shelters.
The runners run in circles around a city park, 10km within 6 circles to be exact. They are called hamsters as they run in circles like a hamster in a carousel. As it\’s a free event, the organisers count on help and generosity of the sponsors that provide prizes for the winners. City Language School funded a voucher for English tuition to be used in Dublin or Limassol school.
The voucher was handed to Adrian- a Polish student who attended the race. We will be happy to welcome him at one of our Oscars school soon!
In result, over 350kg of animal food has been collected which will definitely help to save some animal lives <3
