Over the course of the last few weeks we have seen what are students from Turkey, France and Italy have to say about our school in Dublin city centre. This week, we talk to some students from Brazil about their time with us and we were delighted to chat.
Guillherme tells us about Dublin & why he is renewing
“There are a lot of nice parks here. The Botanic Gardens. Howth I think is my favourite place in Ireland. Lots of nice people. The weather…in the winter it’s cold but it is not as cold as Canada. I have made a lot of friends here and some Irish friends too. I want to thank everyone in City Language School. It is very nice and that is why I am renewing.”
Nilce talks about her Business English class
\”The Business course was amazing, and it that’s entirely thanks to Barry. As a professional, he has a vast experience on the subject, so he always could explore the topics on its wholesomeness, and, as a teacher, he could turn the boredom of the book into themes extremely interesting and related to daily life.\”
\”He was always interested in the students and was always trying to find a way in which we could effectively use what we were learning in class in our actual jobs and positions to help us to grow in our jobs, or even find better positions.\”
\”I always felt stimulated and eager to see what would be the next topic because he was always going the extra mile and bringing extra materials, scanning news from different newspapers for us to read and practice, recommending books according the preferences of each student.\”
Thiago talks about his teacher
“I’m glad to say that Sophia was my teacher during my time at City Language School. She exceeded all my expectations. The classes were great! Sophia is very dynamic. She is constantly bringing interesting topics to discuss with us and exercises to help improve our listening, speaking and writing. And also, she has a kind heart and cares a lot about her students. Sophia is a great teacher and a wonderful person!”
Willian tells us why he chose Dublin
“I arrived in Ireland in February last year,” he says. “I was looking at lots of countries. I thought about Australia but it was really expensive and so far away from Brazil. In the end Ireland was great because it is Europe and I could learn English. But I also knew I could work and because of my profession it was easy to get the visa because my job is critical here at the moment. That was a big reason for coming to Ireland.”
